PN2-1121 aka Hydopol

Phoenix-2 visited this planet on 7 June 2004.  

Initially assigned as a first contact mission for Phoenix-1, Phoenix-2 made first contact when Phoenix-1 was taken off active duty because half the team was ill.

Hydopol is a planet with near the same level of technology as Earth, possessing transports similar to trains and flying vehicles around the city near the stargate.

Æbby Wulfwynn was found near the gate on this planet by Phoenix-2.  

Initially when the M.A.L.P. was sent through the gate, this was a thriving population.  A few hours later, when Phoenix-2 arrived, the local area had been hit by a massive, sudden plague. Æbby Wulfwynn was the only person found alive.

Phoenix-2 returned to the planet on 10 June 2004.

Phoenix-2 made contact with a research station in orbit and met with Elisedd McCabe.  The possibility for trade was initiated.  They are desirous for the herb that has great healing properties.  

Elisedd McCabe and his team watched helplessly from orbit as the city around the gate was plagued with the disease in the matter of an hour.  

Hydopol has enjoyed a period of planetary peace for the last 20 years.  The military did quarantine off the city of Guafela, which is the city around the gate, and saved the remainder of the planet from suffering a similar fate.
