Don Bradford

Major/Lt Col Don Bradford

Don was born in Alabama, USA, Earth.  His father was stationed at Maxwell-Gunter Air Force Base at the time.  Don moved across the country in his childhood, until his father's F-4 Phantom was shot down.  His father never returned from that conflict.  When he came of age, Don elected to honor his father's memory and joined the US Air Force.

Don earned high marks as a F-15 fighter pilot, until a small car accident messed up his wrist.  Don took up another assignment while waiting to return to active duty and ended up getting assigned to SG-4 out of Cheyenne Mountain.  He continued to excel and was soon promoted to the rank of Major.  As such he was to be given his own command of an SG Team.  

On his last assignment with SG-4, he was captured by the forces of the Gou'ald System Lord Cronus.  He was implanted by a symbiote and forced to work as a minor Gou'ald in the service of Cronus.  When Cronus was killed (2001), thanks to the actions of SG-1, the Tok'ra captured Bradford as he attempted to flee.  The Tok'ra removed the symbiote that had imprisoned Bradford.  Don found a small colony of Tollen refugees (located on PN2-930), and set up a bar, "Bradford's Oasis" to learn to interact with others again.  While on PN2-930, Bradford rescued Phoenix-10.

In 2002, after missing his friends from Earth, Don returned to Stargate Command.  He remained unassigned to a Stargate team and worked to teach about the Gou'ald and to study their artifacts.  

Itching for a field assignment, Major Bradford volunteered for the special assignment, codenamed "Phoenix" that would become Phoenix Base and its operations.  As Phoenix Base was started, Bradford worked alongside General Loyer to assess and assign new Phoenix teams.  

On 20 August 2002, he was temporarily assigned to work with Phoenix-2.  This assignment became permanent, and Don remained on that team until 13 Jan 2003, when he was captured by Lord Yu and classified as MIA.

On 21 June 2003, Phoenix-2 found Don adrift in a teltak (Gou'ald Scout Ship) with Frine and Grendile.  Don rejoined Phoenix-2 and remained part of that team, until his promotion to Lt Colonel on 15 Dec 2003.

Lt. Col. Bradford was given command of the Kawalsky Trading Outpost.  This facility is a trading outpost, operated under the command of Phoenix Base, and located within the Tollen colony located on PN2-0930.
